PORTLAND, Ore. - Former Oregon Ducks star and retired NFL player Joey Harrington is expected to be released from the hospital soon after he was struck by a car while riding his bike.
Harrington was riding his bike alone in Southeast Portland on Monday when a driver didn't see him and clipped his back wheel. He was seriously injured but is now in fair condition and could be out of the hospital on Wednesday.
Harrington's father, John, said his son spent the night in the intensive care unit and added that he's grateful for the outpouring of support.
